First airfield


First Junkers airfield, in use 1916-1925, boundary Alten and Mosigkau Numerous first flights and flight tests took place on this airfield with a grass runway.

For the 150th birthday of Hugo Junkers on 3 February 2009, a commemorative column with 8 commemorative stones were inaugurated on the premises of the first Junkers airfield, by the local heritage society of Dessau-Alten, in memory of the height world record flight of a Junker F13 with 8 people in 1919.
